Dr. Christopher Unseld

OVERVIEW

Dr. Christopher Unseld is Counsel at Hausfeld in Berlin. He advises clients on European and German competition law, as well as on complex damages claims and antitrust litigation.

Christopher Unseld represents renowned companies in individual proceedings but also groups of claimants in collective proceedings. Additionally, he handles interim relief proceedings in competition law, particularly challenging the abuse of market dominance by major corporations (e.g., account suspension cases against Google and Meta). His work in this field has garnered attention in several landmark cases (e.g., Digitale Vignetten, Goliathwatch, Filmwerkstatt Düsseldorf).

He is fluent in German and English and has a good command of Spanish and French. He obtained a Magister in European Legal Practice (M.L.E.), a Master of Laws (LL.M.), and a doctorate (PhD) through his studies at the University of Hanover, the University of Zaragoza, Humboldt University of Berlin, and the University of Michigan Law School.

Christopher Unseld is also committed to legal education and leads civil law training sessions for legal trainees at the Berlin Court of Appeal (Kammergericht Berlin).
